Same-sex marriage – a victory worth celebrating

On Wednesday, a divided Supreme Court voted 5-4 in each of two decisions – throwing out part of the law that denied hundreds of federal benefits to same-sex couples, and once again clearing the way for gays and lesbians to marry in the state of California. While issues still remain, it seems Americans are finally understanding that everyone has the right to fall in love with whomever they choose and have that love ultimately recognized legally through marriage.
