The Arts: Creative Self-Expression
Ever since I was a young boy, creative self-expression has been my most constant companion — a loyal friend present in every season of life, regardless of circumstance.
During stretches of loneliness, I built elaborate game-show sets from cardboard and staged backyard productions with my mother’s old curtains. In moments when sadness and anxiety felt too heavy to carry, I turned to my piano keyboard and the countless journals I filled with poetry and song lyrics — letting music and words do what words alone sometimes cannot.
For as long as I can remember, art and personal growth have been inseparable for me. Creating something — anything — has always been my most honest way of making sense of the world and my place in it.
And I believe it can be yours, too.
You do not need to be featured in a prominent gallery, be a bestselling author, or be a musician who sells out stadiums to call yourself an artist. How you express yourself creatively is entirely your own — you simply need the courage to keep creating, to push past your perceived limitations, and to let something genuine take shape.
